'Recycle’--Keep America beautiful ad campaign…

Punch line: “give your garbage another life.” Under the wrap of time numerous mix of bittersweet event gets uncoiled in an average human life or say life-cycle. Well within the grip of this roller-coaster ride we keep battling to lay down and sustain our very own everyday cycle. While in this gung-ho to become the top cyclist we have ended up performing countless duties and try to rationalize it with a bizarre term ‘development’ . Our mother nature for long has been a silent receiver of such developmental pains but any phenomena eventually leans to come to a full circle and hence we see that getting reciprocated through global warming and its cascading effects. One such byproduct of this unending ruthless human acts is a detrimental element named plastic which poses a big threat to our environment. Seeing it through figures published by one scientific journal, 2,50,000 metric tons of plastic waste is being dumped in to the ocean every year. Another eye-opening fact is th...

Advertisement Review: British Airways

Punch line:- Fuelled by love A gentle pull to a thin strand within our brain can fetch us a stream of sweet and sour memories. But only a handful of those remains so deeply cherished that we never let it fade away. A fulfilling essence of life is sometimes well realized in the short by chance encounters that we may all come across at some point which leaves us profoundly influenced.    One such real-life memorable event unfolded through an air hostess working with ‘British Airways’ has led to this indulging 6 and a half minute narrative in shape of a commercial for the same airlines. And what else could have been a better way to express the hospitality and comfort which certainly remains two very vital factors for anyone in any means of travel. Helena Flynn, a 23 year old crew member from british airways recollects her initial anxious state of mind when she was to embark on her maiden journey as a flight attendant to india. It’s here that she happens to serv...

Advertisement Review: "DOSTEA" Tea

Punch line:- “ Dosti Jo Rang laaye" What a name to have for a tea brand in the first place. Though a big concern here may be a banal plot to elaborate it which seems like a long and overly predictable movie sequence presented mushily. It sets a perfect jovial tone just at the onset of the commercial with a little bantering to the “ to be groom” from his picture perfect family. But from there on it switches itself to a soap-opera that runs all throughout the 7 min of commercial voicing an initial apprehension of a girl seemingly coming from a contemporary urban background for a jumbo size joint family of her to be fiance  that fizzles out eventually thanks to the sweet friendly reception shown by the guy’s family. Though this ad strikes the right chord with the audience by tea & friendship bond which surely has an overwhelming acceptance across the globe but collapsing while bringing it up with a touch of compelling surprise element as each succeeding sequenc...

Advertisement Review- Motilal Oswal

Punch line: when you focus on one thing you master it!!! It took me one whole month of misadventures to learn preparing tea that was just ok enough to drink. And  it doesn’t end here as time and again tend to foray in to similar territories like chopping onions, ironing my cotton shirts or a more sophisticated activities like slogging it out with excel worksheets or even countering the raging gun fire to crush the enemies in my mobile game, this and mo re often to settle with sad ends . Seeing these series of catastrophic events I could only find myself re-establishing the long known universal fact that what practice and focus can deliver. Now if you are one of those born adventurous souls raring and daring to chart out new invasions with your current set of skills in the armory, we all better be inspired by this ad which says it all in a 64 second visual treat with an acute shot of spirit uplifting acts. Going by the punch line “When you focus on one thing you mas...

Advertisement Review: Reliance fresh

Punch line: khud ke liye ji lo zara Let’s revisit that day of the history exam in school where we tried almost all tricks of the trade to keep ourselves awake till late night with a sip of a hot kadak cup of coffee or by pinching ourselves while on the brink of dozing off or even crazier effort to somehow stick our eyelids such that it doesn’t forfeit to gravity. All of those unkind acts of self-pain only to dwell in to that pretty ‘almost there’ scenario which has remained vague to date. Then comes the D day and our unflapping self embarks to crack the ruthless question paper. Here is when it meets the moment of harsh realization that due to a little misunderstanding by our (over)confident self in flipping through the exam timetable we took it history for maths, and  then suddenly that high-spirited ready to be unleashed fellow who flew high just a second before nosedives into the deepest of oceans. Well experience can be a good mentor. This ad here of reliance fresh...

Advertisement Review:- Parle mango bite

Punch line:   “Aam ki rasili goli… enjoy very slowly” How about a tiny element holding some power to let one ’s self lose entirely right in the middle of buzzing outer world.  Generally people strive for such solace and may often end up splurging big bucks for a dream holiday at an exotic locations across the country or become hell-bent for meditation classes for such pursuance. Now burn down the above cases to just a tiny confectionery which packs the same magic and hence emerges as a frugal alternative to touch this high instantly. And if this moment occurs by a surprise indulgence thats worth forfeiting then it can eject you out from the otherwise mundane life in a second but could also lead the whole thing to a make or break scenario which has been portrayed through an amusing comical situation by the ad maker in this gripping commercial. Also the punch line “Aam ki rasili goli…enjoy very slowly” fits just rightly to the whole show. Imagine all of these happenin...

Advertisement Review- Alpenlebe frooters

Punch line:- chatpata khol… chatpata bol … How do we realize the racy, zingy test of a confectionery just by watching someone popping it on our big 40 inch TV or a trendy laptop screen?… sounds frustrating… right? Well this Alpenlebe frooters ad here will surely pump you up to fall for it in a rather distinctly funny way…. But with a word of caution for not succumbing to this delicacy and to allow that suppressed ‘satyawadi’ in you to utter out some disastrous truth loud and upfront. The old lady in the ad is so carried away by the chatpata taste of alpenlebe frooters that she doesn’t even think twice to come up with that sharp harsh reality that rips apart the boy who is getting lambasted by his father for scoring 43% marks in the exam. The reaction aftermath of this grand disclosure is also note worthily presented. Click below to find out how it occurs.
